Learn about Costa Rica’s natural history as you spot various types of fauna and flora. The tour includes a guided hike to the famous La Fortuna waterfall and time to bath in the nearby river. After your activities don’t worry if you’re hungry as a delicious lunch will be served!

To finish off your tour we head to the new hot springs at ‘Paradise Hot Springs’ where you can relax in the hot pools, drink cocktails at the swim up bar and soak up the atmosphere and views of the volcano. After a generous buffet dinner we take you back to your hotel.  We can also take you to another hot springs for a small charge.

The 6 x 1 Tours starts with a pick-up from your hotel and a short journey to the famous La Fortuna waterfall! The Waterfall is 70m high and surrounded by lush rainforest. At the entrance there are restrooms where you can change into swimming wear and a small shop.  The trail leads first to an overlook where there is an excellent view of the long falls cascading down a steep, forested canyon.

It takes about 20 minutes to walk from the entrance to the natural pool at the base of the falls. Although swimming is no longer permitted in this pool you can swim in the river a bit further along. At the base you will find huge rocks where you can sit and watch the falls and just relax.

After the hike back up the canyon... by now you will be hungr and time to enjoy a delicious home made lunch (there are vegetarian options available).

After lunch we go to a local farm and also take you to a Trapiche to learn about the fascinating process of sugar-cane production. You get to taste the fresh juice and also once it has been turned into a special Costa Rican liquor, called “guaro”!

Then there is a break in the small town of La Fortuna where you can relax in a coffee shop, go shopping for souvenirs and visit the local artist shops.

Finally... what visit to the Arenal Volcano area would be complete without time at one of the hot springs in the area? We'll take you to the beautiful Paradise Hot Springs - pure luxury! Here you'll have plenty of time to relax in a series of hot springs. Don't miss the swim-up bar!

At the hot springs you'll enjoy a great buffet dinner before your trip back to your hotel.
