Aventura Canopy Tour in Monteverde Costa Rica has the longest zipline in Latin America! At 1590 meters long (over 5220 feet, nearly 1 mile!) this is a thrill that you will remember for a long, long time! The price of the Aventura Canopy includes 9 regular ziplines, a swinging rope bridge, an exciting rappel, and 2 thrilling Superman cables (where you literally fly through and over the forest face-forward, just like Superman! A MEGA Tarzan Swing: which swings to a height of 45 meters (148ft) is also included!
The canopy (zipline) tours in Monteverde are the most adrenaline-pumping activities you will find. The Aventura Canopy has 9 regular and 2 Superman ziplines that are connected to platforms located high in the trees. Plus there is one hammock bridge, 1 rappel and 1 mega Tarzan Swing. You will be fitted with specialized equipment (harnesses, gloves, and helmets) and given an explanation of exactly what this exciting adventure entails and what you have to do. The first cable is shorter and slower so that you have a chance to practice. The cables traverse from tree to tree and you will ´glide´ along the ziplines, stopping at each platform along the way.
SAFETY
There are daily checks on all cables and platforms before the first tour and there are regular maintenance schedules. The guides are experienced guides and are with you the whole time to ensure your safety. There is also the chance to go tandem if scared (depending on the weight of a person).
