Hotel Buena Vista is a San Jose, Costa Rica airport hotel. Located just 15 - 20 minutes from Juan Santamaria Airport (SJO) – Costa Rica´s main airport.
This lovely little boutique hotel with 30 rooms is located in the mountains in Alajuela with great views of Poas and other volcanoes. It is a quiet hotel with a restaurant and bar, pool, gardens and a nature trail. This is a great place to stay if you want to visit Poas or La Paz Waterfalls and yet only 15-20 minutes from the airport.
There is a free shuttle (from 5.00am – 11.00pm) to and from the airport, as well as to car rental agencies near the airport and the main pick up location for Interbus (Denny’s Restaurant, opposite Holiday Inn Express).
Restaurant Quetzal Grille
The restaurant is open daily from 6:00 a.m. till 10:00 p.m serving international and local latin cuisine. The head chef has extensive experience in fine food and pastry preparation and has attended formal culinary arts training in international cuisine.

Deluxe Standard – 1 King Bed
Each has one large king bed and a small fold out sofa bed . These rooms have nice views, spacious cabinets and a desk area. Max number of guests is 3.
Deluxe Standard – 2 Queen Beds
These are new rooms with two queen beds, ample cabinetry for storage and a desk area set in a contemporary tropical decor. Max number of guest is 4.
Superior Balcony – 1 King Bed
Each has one large king bed and a small fold out sofa bed set in a pretty tropical decor. These rooms have a balcony with lovely views, spacious cabinets and a desk area. Max number 3
Superior Balcony – 2 Queen Beds
These rooms are on the second floor and include a balcony with chairs, large cabinets for clothes storage and a desk area. The Superior Balcony rooms have mountain, pool, or garden views. Max number 4
Three-Bed Junior Suite
These rooms are larger than the Deluxe Standard or Superior Balcony rooms. Each room has 2 queen beds and one single bed. Each 3-Bed Junior Suite has a balcony, nice view, spacious cabinets and a desk area. Max number 5.
... and nicest of all! Villas
The Villas are newly built, very spacious and luxurious. These are separate private units on a lushly landscaped hillside. The Villas are very large, 800 sq. ft. (76 sq. mts.) and have a large private terrace with a panoramic view. Each Villa has a spacious living room with 2 sofas (one is a sofa bed), an accent chair, and 3 tables. The sleeping quarters are also large with 2 queen beds, a full desk and large armoire. The spacious bath has a gorgeous shower, 2 vanities and every possible amenity. The dècor is contemporary tropical style with high ceilings of bamboo and wood beams. The Villas also include a mini refrigerator and coffee maker as well as all amenties that the other types of room have. Max number 6.
