Mountain Biking Lake Arenal Rugged Trail with River Crossing

Mountain biking is a great way to explore Costa Rica and a wonderful way to visit the area close to the famous Arenal Volcano. Join us for an exciting Costa Rica mountain bike tour that takes you close to the jungle!  The is an adventurous route on a trail that goes through farmlands. crosses rivers and runs along the base of the Arenal Volcano.

The adventure starts in La Fortuna, Arenal and nearby hotels (check your hotel is in the pick up zone, as some hotels are further out and there is a small pick up charge)  where you will be picked up in a comfortable van. You'll be taken to the NEW Pedal & Paddle Adventure Store in the small town of Foforos on Lake Arenal (near El Castillo) about 30-40 minutes from La Fortuna. The route is along a gravel road that stretches about 24 km in total and crosses the Caño Negro River and different streams towards Rio Chiquito. There will always be a support vehicle nearby giving you farther assistance if needed throughout the tour.

At the start point you will be provided with all the necessary gear for your adventure along with safety instructions. 

On the trail you will have great views of  Arenal Volcano whilst biking along the largest Lake in Costa Rica, Lake Arenal. With luck you will spot  different kinds of monkeys, toucans, coatimundis and many tropical birds.
