Skytrek Arenal is one of the best Costa Rica Canopy Tours. The tour is located near the base of Arenal Volcano and is one of the most innovative canopy tours in the whole country.

Skytram (aerial tram or cable car) elevates you to a platform offering a stunning view of the Volcano and Arenal Lake.
Skywalk (hanging bridges). A guided tour to learn about the flora and fauna in the area.
Skytrek Ziplining. There are ten zip line cables, ranging in height from 30 meters to 200 meters and in length from 200 meters to 750 meters. The Ariel Tram is used to take you up to the ziplines and must be done as a combo.

Arenal Skytrek uses a system of cables (or zip lines) that enables you to safely “fly” over the rain forest holding onto a pulley with two handles.
Comfortable harnesses are used which are adjustable at the waist and legs. The tour is suitable for children over 8 years old. The package tour takes 2.5 hours in total plus transport time to your hotel.
The Skytram is an Aerial Tram (Cable Car) and on the tour you have a 1km ascent to an observation point that offers a stunning view of Arenal Lake, the Volcano and the surrounding rain forest. On the Skytram you travel with a nature guide who will point out any wildlife and how the vegetation varies with the altitude changes.
At times the tram is 40 meters above the treetops. You will have some time at the observation point before descending in the cable car. Here you can sit down on comfortable chairs to enjoy the view and stay as long as you wish. The tour is great for everybody including all ages and disabilities.
You do not have to do the ziplines to come down. You can ride back down the same way you came up.
The Skywalk is great way to see the rainforest at a much slower pace and see the forest from a different perspective. Your guide will point out interesting aspects of the forest and any wildlife along the way. You will also view two waterfalls and go to an amazing platform 30 meters high with spectacular views of the rainforest, Arenal Volcano and Arenal Lake.
Guided tours have set hours. The tour generally lasts two to three hours. Groups are usually less than ten people.You can also do this tour without a guide.
